See Why a Minister in Africa purposed to spend N852,500,000 on Sweets and Lollipops for Children

By Emmanuel Oladele - On the 4th of June 2020, Madagascar Education Minister Rijasoa Andriamanana was sacked following his proposal to spend N852,500,000 on Sweets and Lollipops for Children to ease Covid-19 Herbal cure bitter taste.

At that point, the proposal sparked a lot of arguments s and commotions among the Malagasy on why such amount should be spent for the purchase of Sweets and Lollipops.
Amid Coronavirus pandemic, a herbal cure was approved by Madagascar president Andry Rajoelina which has been widely taken in Madagascar and some other African countries but the herbal cure is bitter in taste which a lot of Children may find difficult to take.
Drama in Africa politics and government will always remain, why would a minister think in such direction when there are more important and valuable things to spend on, with some people in the country not even having access to good medical care and even education, this may not be the best proposal for such a country.

Can anyone justify why N852,500,000 should be spent on Sweets and Lollipops to ease bitter taste of COVID-19 Herbal for Children?
